Indirect process for the construction of the Direct Plates of Dr. Planas

Abstract

The direct plates, for the early treatment of the overcast bites and the functional cross bites in primary and mixed dentition first stage, are today a resource which should be used by every orthopedist and odontopediatrician easily and with accurate results. Making them in the clinic sometimes can be difficult
because of the short age of the patient which limits his/her cooperation, or even because of lack of skill of the technician in assisting agilely and joyfully that this kind of patient requires. It is for these reasons that we have put in practice an indirect process for the building of the direct plates
which solves many of the difficulties named before.
